What a beautiful baby! I just read your comment on another blog mentioning that you had planned a home birth downtown with a back-up Dr. downtown. I'm hoping to do the same. How did it work out for you?
Everything was perfect! Labor lasted 27 hours without any complications, and I was happy to be in our own home. Dr. Dwight, though doesn't fully support the home birth option, was still a great back up doctor. Aleks with Sacred Entrance was a fantastic midwife, with her apprentice Amy, who were both very comforting. I really wouldn't have changed a thing. Even the neighbors don't report hearing anything strange that evening which i find hard to believe... but if i had to do it all over again, i would do it just the same.
